My favorite baby sitter - Cousin Brooke!
Ahhh. Spring is in the air. Do you smell it folks?
What better way to kick off spring than Easter at Mimi and Grampy’s house!! I was having so much fun with Mimi and Cousin Brooke, I didn’t even see the Easter Bunny prance right through the house.
Well, I had a dandy of a time because I had the best baby sitter ever. Cousin Brooke!!
First, she said, “Kai, your socks don’t match. We need to teach you how to match your socks.” Well thank you Cousin Brooke. I need to learn this stuff.
Then she said, “The best sock matcher I know is my Daddy. Daddy, can you teach Kai how to match his socks?” …and Uncle Jason told me all he knows about matching socks. Wool socks, running socks, dress up socks, and the Red Sox.
Then Cousin Brooke said, “OK Kai, nap time. Get in your chair and I will rock you to sleep”.
Then Cousin Brooke said, “Let’s find your Mommy and get a picture with her.” So we did.
The great thing about Cousin Brooke is she really understands me. Mommy and Daddy are sometimes guessing. Is it my diaper? Am I hungry? Am I cold? Well Cousin Brooke just knows. Like this time Mommy and Dadddy thought I wanted my pacifier but Cousin Brooke knew I was just fine.
But when nobody was looking, she snuck it over to me.
Hey, check out these new sunglasses from Tia!
Big hug for you Tia.
… and two weeks later, another big hug. Tia is fun to cuddle with.
So, while all this was going on, can you believe I was getting presents at other Easter parties too? The next weekend, GramE and Grampa brought me this fun hat from Auntie Sonja. Perfect for fishing on Uncle Troy’s boat!
GramE and Grampa also brought Uncle Pete. Uncle Pete is tall. And I am tall. And we like to be tall together. Here we are bonding as we watch a Jolly Green Giant commercial together.
Random thought, but is anyone else having dreams about being Peter Pan lately?
OK, one more cool video. Mommy and Daddy call this teething. I call it “playing the harmonica on Daddy’s finger”.
It is not just about the chair. It is not just about the glasses. It is not just about the outfit. It is an entire image. This is me, Kai, chilling in my hood … my hooded sweatshirt.
Love,
Kai

Yo Kai,
Sounds like Easter was GREAT! You are truly fortunate to be surrounded by such wonderful family.
