Uncle Beast and Auntie Karen Live in the Clouds

Whoohoo folks!  What a busy few weeks.  I am still growing like a mad man and smiling all the time.   Everything makes me laugh and smile now.  Mommy sings me nice songs when I wake up and I smile.  Daddy presses my smile button on my chin and I stick out my tongue and smile.  Grampa talks to me in his Grampa voice and I smile.  It is fun stuff.  Here is a nice smile for you.

This week Mommy gave me a cool haircut, exactly what I wanted.  Here I am all dressed up with my new doo.  Snappy, right?

Well let me tell you, I met a lot of people in the past two weeks.  It all started when Mommy took me in to see Mimi and all her friends at work.  I enjoyed the trip quite a bit.  Mimi is in the smiles business.  She fixes people so they can keep smiling nice.  Cool right?  I am lucky cause if my smile ever breaks I know Mimi will be there to help.

Then I got to meet Uncle Beast and Auntie Karen.  They live in the clouds.  When I grow up, I want to live in the clouds too.  It sounds like there are less problems and there is a lot of fun things to do.  Here I am doing my Uncle Beast impersonation.  “Play it cool man”.

Here I am celebrating with Auntie Karen.  “We are champions Auntie Karen”.

Then Mr. and Mrs. Lewis came over after church for dinner.  I had a good time with them.  You can tell they have been grandparents for a long time now.  They knew exactly what to do.

Of course I had a great time playing with GramE and Grampa.  Here is a little video of me dancing with Grampa and GramE signing.

Then I met lots and lots of Daddy and Uncle Beast’s friends from high school.  So many, I cannot even name them all.  There was one gentleman named Chico that followed me home.  He seemed nice, taught me how to stick out my tongue, and played some games with me…

…but then he took over my toys for himself.  See…

Then there was Mr. Magoo.  He kept stealing my milk when I was trying to get some shut eye.  The crime in this neighborhood is unreal.  Cat burglars everywhere.

Let me throw this shot in the mix as well.  It was the first time I saw Daddy without a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants on.  Who are you and what have you done with my Daddy?

Finally, Daddy and I are taking our show on the road.  Here is our latest tune.

I was so pooped that I barely had enough energy to meet Auntie Janet and Uncle Ralph.  They love the comforts of home but also love to see all their friends.  So they drive their house around to see their friends.  Pretty cool.

Well, I need to rest up.  I meet my Grampy this week for the first time!

P.S. I have dedicated this blog entry to Katie Hewson, a friend of my family.  I never got to meet Katie but I met everyone that knew her this weekend and learned all about her.  She lived every day to its fullest, brought laughter every where she went, and touched so many people in a special way.  I am going to try real hard to become a great person like Katie someday.

    Hey Mark!

Congrats on Kai's arrival! He's a cutie pie. I bet you guys are so proud. My daughter *almost* shares a birthday with him. She was born January 2nd, 2006. If you're ever in San Francisco, let's get them together for a playdate, eh?
